Children’s Ministry

Nursery is available during the worship service for children 3 and under.

Children over 3 are invited to the service during the worship music and dismissed to Base Camp prior to the sermon.

Our Children’s Ministry finds it foundation in helping children learn the following:

God loves them
God wants us to be kind to and help others
God is with us through all aspects of life

Children are a vital part of the life of the Summit Church and enhance all aspects of worship, study, fellowship and service.

Each week we offer the following classes for our children:

Nursery (Birth-2 years old)
BaseCamp Children’s Ministry Class(3-5 years old)
BaseCamp Children’s Ministry Class(1st – 6th Grade)

Children begin in the worship service and then are dismissed to their classes. The class lessons are age-appropriate and engaging as they seek to help the children learn and grow in their knowledge of and relationship with God. Hands on activities enhance the lessons and allow the children to apply what they learn in their lives.

Our children also have the opportunity to participate in special monthly activities. These activities include outings, special celebrations and mission projects/trips. Some recent activities have included a trip to the VA in Asheville to deliver shoes to residents, making special cards and table toppers for nursing home residents, making Valentine cards for residents of Hawthorn Heights, painting pottery at Claymates, celebrating Thanksgiving Charlie Brown style and a very special Easter celebration.
